Lawyer – Ambie Edgar-Chana is a trusts, estates, and charities/non-profit lawyer who has been advising individuals, small businesses, and charities/non-profits on a variety of issues since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2007. Ambie works on a variety of matters with an emphasis on personal tax, estate planning and estate administration, as well as providing a broad range of services to charities, not-for-profit organizations, donors and others.
After gaining over six years of experience at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, a large Bay Street full-service firm, Ambie opened her own boutique firm, Edgar-Chana Law, in 2013 where she is able to provide high quality advice at reasonable rates. Ambie earned her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Ontario, where she was a Dean’s Honour List student. She earned the Margaret E. Rintoul Award for the highest standing in Estate Planning, and the Law Society of Upper Canada Prize for academic excellence. Prior to this, she graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Ambie is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi. When not practicing law, Ambie enjoys exercising, gardening and interior design.
