Join Dr. Murray Arlin and the TMFD Dental Academy on September 13, 2021 for valuable information about how to recognize, treat, and avoid Dental Implant Complications. This is the first seminar in the TMFD Academy Fall 2021 program!
COMPLICATIONS IN IMPLANT DENTISTRY: HOW TO RECOGNIZE, TREAT, AND AVOID THEM
Unfortunately, Dental Implant failures happen from time to time; and they can be “early” or “late” failures (occurring after the insertion of the definitive prosthesis). While certain types of prosthetic designs allow for less complicated remediation, a failure of any kind can cause a wide range of stress for the patient (and all the members of your team). This lecture will address different types of failures, the associated risk factors for each one, and Dr. Arlin will present many of his relevant cases + how they were remediated.
Summary of Objectives:
Understand the difference between “early” and “late” implant failures
Review many “risk factors” for “early” and “late” implant failures
Review both “implant” and “prosthetic” failures
Illustrate techniques to minimize the risk for failure
Present a variety of relevant cases + how they were remediated
Discuss the effects of failures on the patient, the surgeon, and the restorative team
Present the importance of contracts and warranties for the entire team
*This webinar qualifies for 1.5 Category 2 CE credits
