Dr. Matthew Galli

Dr. Matthew Galli completed his dental degree at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry and then graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters and specialization in Periodontics.   

During the course of his residency, he was the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Osteogenics Biomedical Fellowship, the LeGro Award and first place in the Clinical Research and Public Health Category at the UMSD Research day. He has lectured internationally on periodontal and implant-related topics and has authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific articles related to his discipline. Dr. Matt also teaches part-time in the Implant Prosthodontic Unit clinic at the University of Toronto mentoring graduate residents during implant surgery.

His strong background in periodontal research fostered a keen interest in understanding both the classic and current periodontal literature allowing him to make informed treatment decisions based on the latest evidence. Dr. Matt’s practice philosophy stems from his central belief that each patient should be treated with the respect and integrity that one would extend to a close family member. 

He is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others through community outreach and started his own charity initiative called Reach for the Stars, aimed at helping underprivileged teenagers.
