ABOUT Dr. Sherif Said Zareif Tawfik

Dr. SHERIF SAID ZAREIF TAWFK, Periodontist, FRCD(C), Dip. ABP

Dr. Sherif Said Zareif Tawfik, completed his periodontics fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in 2013, following which, he started his post-doctoral training in periodontics at Boston University with a special focus on growth factors and peri-implant tissue development. Dr. Said is both a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and fellow of the Royal Colleges of Dentists in Canada. To uphold his teaching and research interests, Dr. Said has maintained a Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Post-doctoral periodontology department at Boston University for the past five years until transitioning to full-time private practice limited to periodontology and implant dentistry in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Said lectures internationally and has published multiple refereed articles and book chapters on the topic of anterior implant esthetics, with a strong focus on minimally invasive and cosmetic regenerative procedures.

On his spare time, Dr. Said enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing squash and travelling to beach destinations where he has recently taken up wakeboarding as a new hobby.
